Abstract
In the context of general medicine, the assessment, diagnosis and management of dermatological pathologies is extremely frequent, psoriasis being one of them.
Psoriasis is an inflammatory, systemic, chronic, genetically based, immunologically mediated disease. It can be triggered and / or aggravated by multiple factors.
Given its relative frequency in general medical consultation, the objective of this article is to update and review some basic concepts of the pathology, for its proper approach.
