Abstract
The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) are double-stranded DNA viruses belonging to the family Papovaviridae, infection with this virus is the most common sexually transmitted disease (STD) with 10-20% of young individuals (15-49). years) sexually active. Currently, there are approximately 200 HPV genotypes identified, of which 30 are responsible for anogenital infections. This infection affects mainly genital organs relapsing the importance of the virus in its ability to cause warts and around the sixties the researcher Zur Hausen establishes the relationship between this virus and cervical cancer.
