Abstract
This research aims to compare the Electrical activity of the antagonist muscles: triceps and brachial biceps, when performing isometric contractions maximum. The electromyographic technique was used to measure the electrical activity of these muscles. In the results it was noticed that both in the contraction isometric biceps as in isometric contraction of the triceps there is activation of both muscles. According the integration of different physiological mechanisms such as:motor control operation, reflection reverse myotatic in coordination with the cerebellum, cerebral cortex and spinal cord, it is concluded that the electrical activity observed in the muscle agonist is greater in both cases due to greater recruitment of muscle fibers, presenting a statistically significant difference with respect to antagonist
