Abstract
Hyperhidrosis is a condition in which there is excessive sweating, this disease can be from primary or secondary causes. Primary hyperhidrosis is due to an autonomic dysfunction that provokes suboptimal control of emotional sweating during vigil activity. In secondary cases, it is due to physiological, pathological, medication or toxin factors, which can cause excessive sweating, during both sleep and wakefulness. It is a condition for which there is no such clear epidemiological data, since people do not tend to consult for this. There are several treatments that can be used, initially topical antiperspirants, some systemic treatments, botulinum toxin injections and finally, in some cases, surgical management is used.
