Abstract
Currently, artificial intelligence (AI) is a great contribution in the field of medicine, providing an analysis of certain algorithms for alternative solutions in the early diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of different diseases. In the oncological field, the doctor could take from weeks to years to give an accurate diagnosis. Instead, using AI diseases can be detected faster and therefore the doctor can provide earlier support to patients, achieving better expectations of approach for the patient’s care. In this review, several recent examples of the application of AI and its impact on the diagnosis of oncological diseases are described. Similarly, it highlights certain obstacles, resources and data sets that can help take advantage of the use of AI. The continued development of AI applications will drive significant changes in oncology in the clinical setting.
