Construcción y Validación del Cuestionario de Experiencias de Breadcrumbing (CEB) para Adultos de Argentina

Abstract

Breadcrumbing is a relational phenomenon that involves intermittent contact from one person to another via social media, pretending to show romantic interest but without wishing any progress in the relationship. Given the lack of instruments that measure the experiences of breadcrumbing victims, the present study  depicts the construction of the Breadcrumbing Experiences Questionnaire. Additionally, the procedures for content validity assessment (conducted by three expert judges), construct validity (exploratory factor analysis), and reliability (Cronbach's alpha) are presented in a sample of 300 individuals aged 18 to 35 residing in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires. The instrument consists of a total of eleven items divided into three dimensions: experience, expectation, and emotions. Based on the results presented, it is concluded that the BEQ is a valid and reliable instrument for health professionals to use as a prevention and exploration tool.
