Abstract
Nerve compression syndromes are common conditions in the upper limb that can cause symptoms such as pain, muscle weakness, paresthesia, and functional impairments, significantly affecting the quality of life of those affected. These conditions are due to compressions caused by either extrinsic or intrinsic alterations of the compromised nerve. The variety of clinical manifestations presents a diagnostic challenge. This study aims to provide an anatomical description of the main compression sites of the terminal branches of the brachial plexus in the shoulder, axillary, and arm regions, to facilitate their clinical identification.
